ASID VA Reads will meet on Wednesday, July 6 at 7 pm via Zoom.
Written with a sparkling voice and breakneck pace, The Radium Girls fully illuminates the inspiring young women exposed to the "wonder" substance of radium, and their awe-inspiring strength in the face of almost impossible circumstances. Their courage and tenacity led to life-changing regulations, research into nuclear bombing, and ultimately saved hundreds of thousands of lives. We will meet on July 6 to discuss book.
All are welcome: students, emerging designers, educators, seasoned professionals. Come even if you are not able to finish the book. Bring book suggestions for our next read.
